Nestled within a quiet pocket of Mount Martha, this renovation reworks a contemporary home on a large private site. The project refines and consolidates the existing plan to better suit contemporary living and focuses on clarity of space and a refined material palette.

The renovation is organised around a new open-plan kitchen, conceived as the functional and spatial heart of the home. Carefully detailed stone surfaces and custom joinery establish a calm and tactile palette. A series of skylights introduce soft, natural light deep into the interior and reinforce a sense of openness.

Material continuity and proportion are balanced throughout the design, with the kitchen setting the language for adjoining spaces. The result is a measured and enduring renovation that enhances everyday use while maintaining a quiet, architectural presence within its coastal setting.
