Located in Caulfield North, this project explores a calm and considered approach to a new residential home within an established suburban context. The design balances privacy and openness, using solid forms, soft natural light, and carefully framed planning to create a home that feels both grounded and generous.

 

Internally, living spaces are organised around strong visual connections to the gardens, allowing greenery and daylight to shape the experience of the interior. A restrained material palette of light brick, natural stone and warm timber is used throughout, creating continuity between spaces while allowing each room to feel purposeful and uncluttered.

 

The kitchen and dining areas form the social heart of the home, designed to support everyday family life while maintaining a clear architectural presence. Large openings connect the interior to outdoor spaces, blurring the boundary between inside and out and reinforcing a strong relationship with the landscape.

 

Caulfield North House is defined by clarity of planning, material restraint and a focus on longevity. The result is a home that feels calm and enduring, while remaining private yet closely connected to its setting.
